i.What is included

What you get when we do fencing.

Every job comes with the same approach. Free site visit, fixed written quote, careful work, garden left tidy.

i.

Closeboard

Strongest fence going. Vertical featheredge boards on a frame of arris rails. The choice for windy coastal gardens.

ii.

Panel Fencing

Lap or overlap panels in concrete posts and gravel boards. Quick to install, neat finish, easy to replace one panel later.

iii.

Feather Edge

Same boards as closeboard but built panel by panel, between concrete posts. Tidy, strong, and reasonably priced.

iv.

Posts in Concrete

Every post properly concreted, not whacked into wet sand. The reason coastal fences blow over is corner cutting at the post.

iii.Common Questions

Frequently asked.

How long does a fence last?
Treated softwood with concrete posts and gravel boards: 15 to 20 years easy. Posts in soil with no concrete: 5 if you are lucky.
Do you remove the old fence?
Yes, that is included in the quote. Old fence and posts taken away, ground levelled, ready for the new one.
What height fence can I have?
Up to 2m without planning permission, taller with permission. We will check before we quote anything unusual.
Concrete or wooden posts?
Concrete every time on the coast. Wooden posts rot at the ground line within a few years in this kind of weather.
